STATEMENT OF WORK FOR
Sheet Counters
SECTION I: Background
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) has a need to procure twenty-seven sheet counters to support Production Operations.
SECTION II: Purpose
The BEP is in need of twenty-seven large sheet counters that can support 50 note sheets. Some of the equipment is between 15-20 years old and has become unreliable. Currently, Mechanical Exam is required to count each stack four times; new equipment will ensure efficiency to the current production level by providing accurate first time counts.
SECTION III: Technical Requirements/Tasks/Outcomes
A. Equipment Specifications The contractor shall provide all personnel and equipment as outlined below:
• Count-Wise-M NT, (Non-tabbing) or approved equal Sheet counters
Counting Speed: up to 2500 sheets/minute Tab Insertion: 3 to 9999 sheets Counting Range: 18lb bond to 110lb Stainless Steel air-flotation table size Dual jogging plates with back supports Extra-large capacity vacuum filtration system Sensor for counting detection One button initiation 4”, 4 digit LED display mounted on top of counter Height: 62” Width: 42” Depth: 59” Throat Height: 8” Table Size: 41” X 41” Sheet size minimum: 3” x3” Sheet size maximum: 41” X 41” stainless steel air table and base Paper range: 14lb up to .010 cover Electrical: 120V, AC 10 amp
B. Tasks
• Contractor shall deliver and install 26 sheet counters at the Western Currency Facility located in Ft. Worth, TX. Contractor shall also deliver one (1) sheet counter to the Washington, DC Currency Facility. No installation is required at Washington, DC.
• All equipment shall be new and meet minimum specifications stated above.
• Contractor shall provide warranty for the equipment.

• Contractor shall provide annual maintenance and servicing of equipment (i.e., calibrating, cleaning, etc.) at the Ft. Worth, TX facility only.
• All work shall be performed from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM week days, except Federal Holidays.
• Debris Disposal: The contractor shall separate, load, transport and dispose of all non-recyclable debris, at a State certified/license disposal site, in accordance with existing local, state, and federal regulations.
C. Performance/ Delivery Period
Ft. Worth, TX (WCF): The period of performance is a base period of twelve months plus four (4) 12-month option years for service and maintenance. The anticipated award period is 24 August 2016 – 23 August 2021. Contractor shall deliver all equipment within 90 days of contract award.
Washington, DC (DCF): Contractor shall deliver one (1) unit within 90 days of contract award.
If any item is deemed insufficient or damaged, the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) will notify the contractor.
D. Place/ Location of Performance/ Delivery
The site for this project shall be the Western Currency Facility at 9000 Blue Mound Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76131 and Washington, DC Currency Facility at 14th and C Streets, SW, Washington, DC 20228.
E. Special Delivery Instructions
The following DELIVERY information must be provided when scheduling delivery appointments: (1) Name of supplier/manufacturer; (2) Contract/Purchase Order #; (3) Total number of items; (4) Total weight; and (5) Date and time of delivery.
Deliveries to WASHINGTON, D.C. ANNEX BUILDING – (LOADING DOCK ON “D”
STREET SW, BETWEEN 13TH & 14TH STREETS SW):
Vendors must call the appointment hotline at (202) 874-2333 twenty-four (24) hours in advance to schedule approximate delivery times. The hotline is manned from 6:30 am to 2:15 pm Monday through Friday. A voicemail message maybe left after normal working hours.
Deliveries are accepted between 8:00 am and 2:15 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
Over the road vehicles having an overall height exceeding 12’6” (3.8 meters) empty, or an overall length exceeding 42’ (12.2 meters) cannot be accommodated at our receiving platform.

Deliveries to WESTERN CURRENCY FACILITY, 9000 BLUE MOUND ROAD, FORT WORTH, TEXAS: Vendors must call the Receiving Area at (817) 847-3822 at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance to schedule all deliveries. Appointments may be made during normal working hours of 7:00 am to 3:00 pm or after hours at (817) 847-3831. Receiving hours are from 7:00 am to 2:30 pm local time, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
