SPECIFICATIONS

Balancer Pellets Through July 2021

1. Introduction: Scientists at the Roman L. Hruska U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (USMARC) are developing scientific information and new technology to solve high priority problems for the

U.S. beef, sheep, and swine industries. About 50 percent of the effort is with beef cattle, 30 percent with swine, and 20 percent with sheep. Balancer pellets supplement the feed for these animals.

2. Scope: The Contractor shall provide the balancer pellets in the method described below and, in the description, and quantity listed.

3. Technical Requirements:

Balancer Pellets must be delivered to USDA/ARS/USMARC; Clay Center, NE feedlot in auger trucks. Truck drivers will need to coordinate with Feedlot operations on delivery times and schedules but normal hours of 7:00am -3:30pm Monday-Friday are anticipated. Deliveries of each pellet must be accompanied with a delivery ticket stating the amount of each pellet that was delivered.
