Statement of Work
Objective
Yosemite National Park has a need for the tracing/locating of residential propane lines from tank to house, as well as the installation of new regulators, meters and ERGs at 46 NPS owned residences in Wawona, California.
Background
Yosemite National Park maintains residential homes in the Wawona area of the park. These houses currently use propane, the NPS intends to meter propane usage for billing purposes. The intent of this contract is to identify existing propane supply lines form tanks to homes, replace existing regulators, install propane meters at each house and install an ERGs on each meter to connect to the NPS metering equipment. Additionally, the NPS intends to map residential utility lines using GIS mapping tools, propane lines from tanks to houses are to be located, traced and marked.
Location
Multiple locations within Wawona, CA 95389 – Please see the attached location list.
Scope
· The contractor shall locate, trace and mark the propane lines at each location from the tank to the house.
· The contractor shall replace existing regulators.
· The contractor shall install propane meter at each house.
· The contractor shall install an Itron ERG-5006-001 100G DLS Datalogging for Elster/American residential meters or comparable on each meter
· The contractor shall make all installations in accordance with industry standards
· The contractor shall check all exterior lines and new equipment for leaks
· The contractor shall relight interior pilot lights (an NPS representative will be onsite to allow for escorted interior access to homes)
· The contractor shall clean up and haul all project associated debris form the jobsite and dispose of in a responsible manner outside of Yosemite National Park
· The contractor shall perform work as per applicable CA code
· The contractor shall be insured, licensed, and bonded in the State of California
Additional Information
HAULING RESTRICTIONS: Vehicles over 45 feet are prohibited and 1-way controlled traffic for all other vehicles 20 miles East of Mariposa (Mariposa County) 24 hours per day, seven days per week due to rockslide repairs.
ON-SITE WORK HOURS: Work shall be generally performed during normal business working hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, except when otherwise indicated. No holiday work is authorized.
BEAR/ ANIMAL SAFETY: Bears and other animals are active in Yosemite and surrounding areas. It is necessary for all visitors to practice bear and animal safety. Food items are not to be left in work trucks or anywhere else. The NPS provides bear boxes in campgrounds for food storage. Bear incidents are a ticketable offense in Yosemite.
