The Columbia Environmental Research Center (CERC) has a requirement to paint the hallway walls in the Environmental Technology Center (ETC) building as well as paint the door jambs and replace the cove base in the north hallway of the Main Building (A3) located at 4200 New Haven Road, Columbia, Missouri.
The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, supplies, and equipment necessary for the execution of the work identified in this Statement of Work.
Background: The Environmental Technology Center (ETC) is a building consisting primarily of office space. The A3 building is a multi-purpose building used primarily for office space and laboratory research.
The contractor shall –
1. Remove all wall hangings, nameplates and obstructions.
2. Assure all holes, cracks, and blemishes are filled with compatible filler to achieve a flat and clean final product.
3. Paint the ETC Hallway walls with 2 coats of commercial grade paint. Color match to the existing wall color. Walls are approximately 10 feet high. Approximately 4500sq/ft of surface painting.
4. Replace all items removed from the walls in exact location that they were located pre removal.
5. Sand, prime and prepare the door jambs in the North hallway of the Main Building (A3) for final painting. Apply paint suitable for metal door jambs, color TBD. There are 14 single commercial door jams and 1 double door jam needed to be painted. Painting shall include the full door jam, interior office and hallway.
· Sand jambs using a hepa sander. Scuffing up the surface will create more surface area for the primer and subsequent coats of paint to adhere to as well as knock loose any of the weakly adhered and peeling paint.
· Prime the entire jamb with an extreme bonding primer to seal up as best we can the poorly applied paint.
· Paint two coats with an ultra premium paint in a semi-gloss sheen. This sheen and paint will allow for the jamb to be cleaned as often as needed without causing problems.
6. Remove the existing 4-inch cove base from the North hallway of the Main Building (A3), prepare the surface as needed, and replace with new. Approximately 100 linear feet. Color to be approved by the government prior to install.
7. Cleanup any remaining products from the job site nightly. Contractor can use government furnished dumpster for any disposal of items.
8. No debris/dust left over night on job site.
The buildings covered in this statement of work are occupied and the contractor must perform work in a manner minimizing disruption. Staging of work is encouraged and must be coordinated with the Government.
Contractor is encouraged to do a site visit to verify all measurements and see the work requirements.
