PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK
REPLACE ROOF ON ENGINE HOUSE
GOLDEN SPIKE NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE
#140P1422R0007
This Pre-solicitation Notice is issued solely for informational, market research, and planning purposes only. It does not constitute an Invitation for Bid (IFB) or a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an IFB or RFP in the future. This Pre-solicitation Notice does not commit the Government to contract for any construction services whatsoever. Further, the Northern Rockies Major Acquisition Contracting Office is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondents are advised that the United States (U.S) Government will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this Pre-solicitation Notice. All costs associated with responding to this Pre-solicitation Notice will be solely at the responding party's expense. Responses to the Pre-solicitation Notice will not be returned. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. Not responding to this Pre-solicitation Notice does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the U.S Government to form a binding contract. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to continue to monitor the posting site at www.sam.gov for future solicitation postings.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Replace Engine House Roof at Golden Spike National Historic Park.
The location of the project is Promontory Road, Corinne, Utah 84302-0897.
Work will include the following:
The Work includes replacing the approximate 6,000 Sq. Ft. existing built-up roof at Engine House. The Engine House is where the locomotives are stored and where all required maintenance are performed. The building also has park offices, storage space, water treatment and a machine shop. The last repairs were done as an overlay system which has exceeded its life expectancy. The work will remove gravel, two layers of membrane along with trim, flashing, and drip edge. Decking and insulation will be inspected and replaced as needed. In addition to the new APP Modified Bituminous membrane roofing and accessories, the work will include installing a lightning arrest system and safety anchors at each roof level. Existing roof material shall be tested for Lead Paint/ Asbestos and removed prior to demo.
The complete Project Specifications will be included with the Solicitation. All questions will be answered in writing via amendments to the Solicitation. NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE.
Again, this is not an Invitation for Bid (IFB) or Request for Proposal (RFP) and does not constitute any commitment by the Government to issue any solicitation. All interested firms shall respond to future solicitation announcements separately from responses to this Market Research. This solicitation is anticipated to be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) resulting in the award of a Single Award, Firm-Fixed Price Contract.
The RFP is anticipated to be issued approximately in Mid-June, on https://sam.gov/ under Solicitation #140P1422R0007.
The approximate Period of Performance: August 15, 2022, through October 15, 2022.
