About this file

This document includes technical specifications for replacing air compressors and increasing maintenance access at multiple buildings on a naval station. The Navy seeks to replace aging air compressors in buildings A-Wing, B-Wing, and C-Wing at the ATRC facility. In C-Wing, the replacement unit must be lifted across a standalone mechanical structure to access the second level installation location. The solicitation also provides plans for increasing clearances around other mechanical equipment to simplify maintenance. These compressor replacements and maintenance upgrades appear to be the scope of work under solicitation number N0018923Q0410, issued by the Naval Supply Systems Command to solicit proposals from Kaeser Compressed Air Systems for the SCSTC project.

C-Wing Mezzanine

On this side of the space, it is an open bay (two stories plus) with a platform access from inside the building.

This is to allow movement of equipment in the high bay to the second floor without using the elevator.

This is a three story stand alone structure inside the bay area. Blue line depicts approximate path of travel for the compressor placement.

This is the air compressor that will be replaced. It is on the second level, and requires lifting across the stand alone structure- and this is the only way to bring the new unit into the building.
