About this file

This document is Attachment "C" for Miami-Dade County's Maximum Non-Consent Tow Rates for Police Directed Towing Services, which provides a comprehensive pricing schedule for various towing and vehicle storage scenarios. The rates are categorized by vehicle classes (A, B, C, and D) and include specific charges for police-directed tows, per-mile fees, extra time at scene, administrative fees, and daily indoor and outdoor storage rates for different vehicle types and sizes. Storage rates apply after the first 6 hours and are chargeable in 24-hour increments, with specific provisions that indoor storage rates can only be charged upon authorization from the owner, lien holder, insurance representative, or investigating police agency.

The document details a granular pricing structure with rates ranging from $153.47 to $412.00 for basic tow services depending on vehicle class, with additional fees for mileage, scene time, and storage. Administrative fees are set at $41.72 per vehicle, with a maximum of $250.00, and include actual state fees for ownership information, postage, and advertising. Supplementary services like lowboy services, dollies, and underwater recovery are also priced, with hazardous material clean-up billed at the towing company's prevailing rates. The rates appear to be designed to provide transparent and standardized pricing for non-consensual towing services within Miami-Dade County, ensuring consistent billing practices across different towing scenarios.
