About this file

This document is a Scope of Work for RFX No: 3000025483, involving road maintenance and aggregate placement at Camp Beauregard Range Operations in Pineville, Louisiana. The project requires the contractor to haul and distribute #57 Limestone across 10 different roads totaling 11,175 tons, with a specific application of a 2-inch depth over an 8-foot-wide strip. Additionally, the scope includes bulk dropping 100 tons of Gabion Rock behind the Range Maintenance compound for erosion control and slope stabilization.

The current road conditions are critically degraded due to heavy military vehicle use, logging operations, and anticipated increased civilian traffic. Roads have significant washouts, erosion, and structural integrity loss, with surfaces deteriorating to a loose, powdery state that becomes hazardous when wet. Range Control staff will closely coordinate with the contractor during aggregate material application, including precise tailgate spreading operations and subsequent motor grader leveling to ensure even material distribution. The project addresses infrastructure maintenance and restoration within a military training area to improve road safety and functionality.
