General Information:
Background and Purpose: The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (USDA-ARS) requires the basic need for supply purchase of a Manure Spreader. Conservation and Production Research Laboratory (CPRL) conducts research in which manure from beef feedlot or dairy dry lots are applied to fields to be cropped. In some of these experiments, the focus is amount of fertilizer nutrients can be derived from the manure. In other experiments, researchers are quantifying the emissions of greenhouse gases and ammonia from the manure amended soils. The application of manure requires specific equipment (manure spreader) that the location currently lacks. The Manure Spreader needs to be purchased. This Manure Spreader is a necessity to conduct required research studies located at the Conservation and Production Research Laboratory (CPRL), 2300 Experiment Station Road, Bushland, Texas 79012.

CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS:

The objective is to purchase a manure spreader of sufficient capacity to apply specific amounts up to 250 bushels without repeat trips over the field.
Contractor Requirements:
The requirement is a piece of farm equipment, commonly called a manure spreader, to precisely deliver specific quantities of manure from beef feedlot or dairy dry lots to a specified land area.
