Attachment A - Specifications DASGIP Bioreactor System – Peoria, IL
GENERAL INFORMATION
1.0 Scope of Work: Vendor is to deliver a new DASGIP System. Contractor will deliver equipment (transport and insurance), install and commission, and provide training for one day.
Features, Components, Accessories, Modules, Software and/or Services to be included:
1) DG-SYSTEM Configurable DASGIP System
2) DO Sensor (Optical), Hamilton® VisiFerm™, autoclavable, O.D. 12 mm, H0 cap, L 225 mm (4)
3) pH Sensor, Hamilton® EasyFerm® Plus, autoclavable, O.D. 12 mm, L 225 mm (4)
4) Recirculating Chiller, type MC 1200 with closed cooling circuit,
5) Uninterruptible Power Supply, for DASGIP®/DASbox® Mini Bioreactor (2)
6) Zone 2 travel
7) Installation and Commissioning 4xDG, US, for a 4-fold DASGIP® system
8) Transportation and Transportation Insurance, 4-fold DASGIP® system
9) Packing material for shipping of system and components
10) Onsite Training
2.0 Background: The DASGIP system consists of 4 parallel bioreactor vessel suitable for conducting well defined microbial fermentations. We currently have 2 systems on site. To ensure accurate data comparison between historical experiments and scale-up, we must use a DASGIP system with similar specifications. Our other system has 250 ml vessels and this system has 200 ml - 1.0L working volume vessels.
CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
3.0 Technical Requirements/Tasks:
Technical Specifications:
1. Computer monitoring and control and system suitable for use with a wide variety of microorganisms that includes DASware control software for advanced process control. This software allows for reviewing of historic data and can operate up to 24 vessels. Software also allows for:
a. Efficiency through parallel sensor calibration, intelligent recipe management, and enhanced scripting automation
b. Performance though parallel operation of up to 8/16/24 vessels, powerful charting tool, and advanced data management

c. Flexibility through configurable views and user-defined functions; In- field hardware and software updates
d. Reliability through user management and data integrity, event log, and alarm functions
2. Parallels system: bioblocks for holding 4 vessels with water cooking for 5 K above cooling medium to 99C.
3. Vessel: four glass reusable autoclavable reactors with 200 ml - 1.0 L working volume. Able to fit 1.8 L vessels.
4. Agitation: Direct/magnetic overhead drive capable of running at 100 – 1,600 rpm.
5. Mixing Paddles: adjustable height and interchangeable paddles including for Ruston or Pitched blade styles.
6. Sterilization: Vessels need to fit into standard laboratory autoclave for sterilization.
7. Pumps: two DASGIP® MP8 Multi Peristaltic Pump Module, each unit equipped for 8 feeds each and a total of 16. Pump head tubing with different inner diameters allow continuous flow rates from 0.3 – 420 mL/h (MP8).

9. Footprint: 140 x 70 x 53 cm (55 x 28 x 21 in) per 4 vessel assembly to allow for fitting on bench top
10. Level/foam control: 8 probes for level or foam detection with automatic control via integrated pump module.
11. pH monitoring and control: 4 sterilizable probes to allow for pH monitoring/digital recording and automatic pH control by acid or base addition using the integrated pump module.
12. Dissolved oxygen monitoring, digital recording, and control: 4 sterilizable DO Sensor (Optical), Hamilton® VisiFerm™, autoclavable, O.D. 12 mm, H0 cap, L 225 mm. Control includes customizable cascade modes using stirring and gas flow
13. Gassing: DASGIP® MF4 Gassing Module, for 4 vessels, mass flow controller, 10 –300 sL/h, 10 – 180 sL/h carbon dioxide
14. Electrical back up: 2 uninterruptible power supplies
15. Training: one day onsite
16. Continuous chiller to operate temperature control system for bioblocks
4.0 Government Furnished: Government will supply a standard loading dock to accept delivery of the unit. Government-furnished support for installation is limited to security access to the equipment in the NCAUR facility, adequate working space, heat, light, ventilation, air conditioning, electric current and outlets for the use of company employees.

6.0 Travel: Not applicable. This is a purchase.
7.0 Contractor’s Key Personnel: Not applicable. This is a purchase.
8.0 Security Requirements: A copy of an official government photo ID (State-issued driver’s license or ID card, passport, green card, etc.) must be provided no later than one week before arrival of contract service technician(s) except in the case of emergency service, were only the name of the technician provided via email or telephone will be necessary. Security access to the NCAUR facility will be provided based on this identification requirement. Freight drivers must comply with NCAUR COVID-19 pandemic guidelines to include the wearing of face masks and maintaining 6 foot social distancing.
9.0 Data Rights: Not applicable.
10.0 Section 508 – Electronic and Information Technology Standards: Not Applicable, per ARS guidance.
11.0 SECTION 889 OF THE NATIONAL DEFENSE AUTHORIZATION ACT CERTIFICATION:
Offeror will represent that:
(1) It will not provide covered telecommunications equipment or services to the Government in the performance of any contract, subcontract or other contractual instrument resulting from this solicitation.
(2) After conducting a reasonable inquiry, for purposes of this representation, the Offeror represents that It does not use covered telecommunications equipment or services, or use any equipment, system, or service that uses covered telecommunications equipment or services.
