PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
For
MOBILE HAND-HELD RADIO SYSTEM
The Contractor must demonstrate the ability to meet all requirements for the solicitation. The objective is to provide a mobile hand-held radio system. Offered products must be XPR™ Motorola Solutions brand or equal commodities in accordance with FAR 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal (Aug 1999). Only new equipment is acceptable; no remanufactured or "gray market" items. Equal brand quotes that merely restate the requirement or state that the requirement shall be met, without providing supporting rationale, may not be sufficient. To receive a rating of technically acceptable, the quote must demonstrate the product’s ability to meet and/or exceed all the salient characteristics listed.

The type of mobile hand-held radio system in this requirement will be used for multi-way communication between a base dispatcher and mobile WRRC employees. Employees are dispersed among the WRRC buildings across approx. 10-acre facilities. The contractor will be responsible for removing the current radio system before installing a new radio system.
The US Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service is seeking vendors who can provide a two-way hand-held radio system in the CLINs above which meet all the following salient characteristics (SC). Vendors are encouraged to quote any product solution or configuration so long as they meet the SCs.
