MEMORANDUM FOR AFTC/PZIOA
FROM: AFRL/RWWIR
SUBJECT: Technical Requirements Document for Spherical Near Field System
1. The AFRL/RWWIR has a requirement to purchase a brand name or equal Spherical Near Field
System, conforming to the specifications of the SNF-RAZ-0.7 and must meet all of the following requirements:
a. Must have a 2 Axis AUT Positioner with a Scan Area of 360 degrees Phi and Theta
b. Must support a Maximum Antenna Weight of 40 lb (18 kg) and Maximum Antenna Diameter of 30 inches (0.7 m)
c. Must be able to scan with a resolution of 0.0125 degrees Phi and Theta
d. Must have a Position Repeatability of 0.03 degrees RMS
e. Must support antenna measurements from 500 MHz to 50 GHz in coax and up to 110 GHz using waveguide extensions
f. Must be able to provide initial on-site installation and training
g. Must provide software capable of Near-field to far-field transformations, scripting capability, measuring probe pattern correction and alignment check automation.
h. Must be delivered within 24 weeks ARO.
