DMAFB Airfield Lighting Design Specification
Design Standard and Specification in accordance with Air Force Instruction (AFI) 31-101, Sect.
6.5.8.2 – 6.5.8.4.6, and UFC3-530-01 March 2018.
Design goal – Maximize coverage area that will meet the 1 foot-candle minimum rating, without additional poles while minimizing LED lamp wattage.
Area A & B – Compliance with 1 FC requirement may not be feasible due to distance for the nearest pole(s). Design to maximize lighting coverage and intensity given minimum 0.2 FC
