STATEMENT OF WORK
Planet Ranch Conservation Area Back-up Generator Electrical Installation
1. General:
1.1 The objective of this project is to acquire contractor services to install electrical components and connect back-up generator to bunk house (Building 100) at Planet Ranch Conservation Area (PRCA), 3939 Planet Ranch Road, Parker, AZ 85344 (34°14'53.6"N 113°57'05.9"W).
1.2 Purpose/End Application: Planet Ranch Conservation Area (PRCA) is managed by the Lower Colorado River Multi-Species Conservation Program (LCR MSCP). The site is located in a remote area along the Bill Williams River Corridor (see Figure 1). Plans for PRCA involve rearing covered fish species in the four existing refugia ponds. When the ponds are fully operational, personnel will be required to lodge in the bunk houses more consistently to tend to the ponds.
Arizona Public Service (APS) currently provides power to the facilities at the site, but due to concerns about potential power outages, a back-up generator and propane tank have been placed near one of the bunk houses to provide power in case of outages.
