Statement of Work
Refrigerated and Freezer Trailers
1. Requiring Locations:
DLA DISTRIBUTION SUSQUEHANNA PENNSYVLANIA
BUILDING 2001 (EDC)
NEW CUMBERLAND, PA 17070
2. Background:
Currently, DDSP has five refrigerated trailers and two freezer trailers/containers that meet the requirements of cold storage material.
3. Purpose of this Requirements Document:
The purpose of this document is to retain current capabilities and assets for cold storage material at DDSP for a pre-determined amount of time with the option for an extension as mission requirements change.
4. General Requirements Refrigerator Trailers (Qty 5) The work performed by the contractor will consist of transport and leasing of five refrigerated trailers.
Type: tandem axle semitrailer enclosed “Box Van” self-contained refrigerated
Dimensions: length 48’ -53 ft. maximum, width 102 inch, minimum outside height 156 inch
Weight: Maximum load capability 40,000lbs
Power Requirement: Refrigerator Trailers must be able to operate on 480VAC. They must also have an onboard diesel-powered generators.
Refrigeration Capability: Refrigerated trailers must be able to reach and maintain a temperature of -6 degrees Fahrenheit regardless of outside temperature at the requested location.
Freezer Trailers/Containers (Qty 2): The work performed by the contractor will consist of transport and leasing of two freezer trailers.
Dimensions: One trailer should be approximately 20’ long, 8’ wide, and 8.5’ tall. The other trailer should be approximately 40’ long, 8’ wide, and 9.5’ tall.
Power Requirement: Freezer Trailers must be able to operate on 480VAC.
Freezer trailers must be able to reach and maintain a temperature of -30 degrees Celsius regardless of outside temperature at the requested location.
Both refrigerator and freezer trailers must:
Temperature Sensor/Alarm: Units will be capable of external display of the internal temperature with notification of out-of-range results and equipment faults. These notifications must be made remotely to select DDSP personnel by means of text message and/or email.
Maintenance: Same day on-site refrigeration service will be provided to address any temperature variation from the required setpoint or refrigerated equipment faults. Next day service is acceptable for trailer issues not related to the refrigeration unit. Preventative maintenance will be provided by the contractor at predetermined intervals to ensure equipment reliability. All preventative maintenance schedules and work are the responsibility of the contractor for the duration of the contract.
5. Contractor Responsibility:
Contractor shall provide all parts, labor, software, and services necessary to accomplish said work.
6. Warranty Coverage:
Contractor will provide on-site support for the length of the contract. Response time to be on site must be within 24 hours due to importance of the trailers and critical mission requirements.
7. Manuals:
The operating instructions for the trailers shall be provided by the contractor.
8. Delivery Schedule:
Coordination made between vendor and DDSP Maintenance Management.
