About this file
This document includes a Statement of Work (SOW) and related federal contract opportunity. The SOW specifies requirements for two Priefert S04 Squeeze Chutes for working pens in Pastures 4 and 5. Key features of each chute include five contoured upper access panels on each side, a side exit gate with release rope, an easy pull return lever to close the side gate, and a tailgate that will lock in the closed position to secure the animal inside. All handles are parallel along the side of the chute or stored over the chute out of the operator's way. Removable bottom access panels on each side allow easy access to the lower part of the animal. The tailgate is split with dual controls to allow operation from the front or rear, and can be disengaged halfway to create a calf-sized entry. A head restraint chain is included to provide access for doctoring eyes or reading ear tags and tattoos.
The related federal contract opportunity is solicitation number 12805B23Q0911 from the US Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service Field Research Implementation and Information Delivery Plains Area for the Priefert S04 Squeeze Chutes specified in the SOW. No further details are provided on pricing, response dates, or other contractual requirements.
