About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW)/Specifications for a federal contract opportunity issued by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service, for the live capture and tracking of 50 white-tailed deer on two south Texas ranches/National Wildlife Refuges. The contract requires the purchase of 50 radio collars (25 for does and 25 for bucks) to track the movement of the captured animals over a 2-year period. The collars must be compatible with the Lotek telemetry tracking system and provide a minimum of 6 reads per day, with a mortality sensor and two-way communication capabilities. The proposed captures will be conducted between April 2024 and May 2025, with USDA personnel on-site to handle the animals. The related federal contract opportunity is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) under Solicitation Number 12805B24Q0155 for the supply of the 50 tracking collars, with a Small Business Set-Aside. Quotes are due by March 26, 2024, and the Government intends to award a firm fixed-price purchase order to the responsible offeror whose quote conforms to the specifications and is the most advantageous based on technical acceptance, past performance, and price.
