Performance Work Statement (PWS) Project: Bruker 500 MHz NMR Instrument with Cryoprobe Service Agreement
GENERAL INFORMATION
1.0 Scope of Work:
The USDA-Dairy Forage Research Center (DFRC) is requiring a full-service contract plan for the Bruker 500 MHz NMR Instrument with Cryoprobe located in the Cell Wall Biology and Utilization Research Unit.
2.0 Background:
This NMR service plan pricing is listed on the strategic sourcing (period of performance 09/26/2023 – 09/25/2024 with option years running through 09/25/2027) with the Bruker quotation 22243632. The quotation is the most current pricing of this service. This unit is a specialized unit that needs to be maintained by the vendor.
CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
3.0 Technical Requirements/Tasks:

Service Contract Agreement must include:
1) Unlimited remote desktop support.
2)Magnet recovery from loss of field.
3) Remote monitoring.
4) Replacement Computer installation.
5) Topspin software updates, including installation.
6) Firmware updates, including installation.
7) Priority response (<3 days on-site).
8) Planned maintenance as recommended by Bruker.
9) Operation qualification.
10) Helium refill (helium and labor included in the case of needed magnet recovery/replacement).
11) Wear and tear parts included.
12) All repair labor and parts included.
13) Catastrophic failure magnet replacement.
14) Option for permanent on-site loaner.
4.0 Government Furnished:
The servicing that will take place at the Madison DFRC building will have USDA personnel providing escorted access to the unit. The government will furnish a replacement computer as needed.
5.0 Deliverables / Schedule:
Labscape Service Description - Complete Top priority, full coverage agreement includes any repair needed to get the system back up and running. Covered by the agreement are all parts, site visits and labor & travel costs related to hardware failure, planned maintenance and operation qualification to ensure smooth running with minimal downtime, support of the system by Bruker trained service engineer through a secure remote connection, (e.g.
WebEx(TM) or TeamViewer(TM)) software and data system up-to-date and fully optimized.
6.0 Travel:
The vendor will need to occasionally travel to the DFRC-Madison location to service the unit.
7.0 Contractor’s Key Personnel:
Not identified by vendor.
8.0 Security Requirements:
The vendor does not require a security clearance to complete any servicing. The vendor will be escorted by USDA personnel during the work on site.
