About this file
This document is a Brand Name Only Justification form, which provides documentation for a procurement that will use a specific brand name and deviate from full and open competition. The document appears to be preparing for a procurement of aquatic herbicide by the Department of the Interior's Bureau of Indian Affairs Northwest Region, with the solicitation number 140A1225Q0013.
The justification form requires various attestations and approvals, including certification from the Originating Office that the technical data meets government needs, and concurrence from the Contracting Officer that the justification is accurate and complete. The document indicates different levels of approval are required based on the acquisition's value, with additional concurrence needed from the Chief Contracting Officer, IA Competition Advocate, Head of Contracting Activity, or Senior Procurement Executive depending on the contract's total value. While specific details about the aquatic herbicide are not provided in this justification document, it serves as a procedural step to document the rationale for selecting a specific brand name for the procurement.
