SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS
FOR:
Hazardous Storage Container
1.0 SCOPE OF WORK:
The contractor shall deliver 1 EA Hazardous Storage Container that meets the minimum specifications outlined in the Salient Characteristics. All items shall be delivered to the 55 RGS.
1.1 PRODUCT PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATION:
The hazardous storage container must meet the following minimum specifications:
SPECIFICATIONS
Hazardous Storage Container Length/Width: At least 45’ X 8’
Fire Wall Protection Unit fire wall must have minimum of 2 hr fire protection rating
Roll Up Door Unit must have a roll up door as well as personnel entry door
Personnel Entry Unit must have two entry/exit methods. One entrance must be 6’ wide role-up option.
Spill Containment Unit must have floor integrated spill containment with drain
Lighting Interior lighting and fixtures must be explosion proof to meet C1D2 standards
Fire Suppression System Must be equipped with dry chemical fire suppression system. Must not utilize water.
Fire Alarm Unit must have spill alarm and sensors to detect a spill
Gas Detector Unit must have gas sensors for safety
Flooring Unit must have metal grading full length flooring with integrated spill containment
Exhaust Fan Unit must have exhaust fan to provide adequate airflow
HVAC Unit must have adequate BTU, explosion proof HVAC
110 GFI Outlet Unit must have at least 1 explosion proof GFI electrical outlet
