STATEMENT OF WORK

CHILLED WATER COILS

June 6, 2022

1. Project Title: USDA-ARS Robert W. Holley Center; Air Handler Unit #1 and #4, Chilled Water Coil Replacement.

2. Project Location: 538 Tower Road, Ithaca, N.Y. 14853

3. Project Summary: The USDA-ARS Robert W. Holley Center for Agriculture and Health located on the Cornell University Campus in Ithaca, N.Y. requires replacement of failed Chilled Water Coils.

4. Technical Requirements:

The contractor shall provide all supplies, personnel, equipment, tools, materials, and supervision necessary to replace the existing Chilled Water Coils located in the Penthouse Mechanical Room that must be removed and recycled. Installation of new exact replacement is to be performed.

Air Handling Unit #1, serial number 4558-01/2014 (within 6300 cfm).

Note: All equipment and work shall be priced separately for each unit. Air handler unit #4 is an optional line item. There are currently no funds available for unit #4. The Government shall have the option to place an award for unit #4 later if funds become available and the Government chooses to do so. All quotes for all units shall include a statement that the price is valid for 60 days after the contract award date, if award is received.

5. Site Specific Measures: There is elevator access to the third floor. Access to the penthouse is via one set of stairs. The AHU is not easily accessible, care must be taken to not damage the surrounding equipment. Any surrounding equipment that is damaged shall be fixed and/or replaced at the contractor’s expense.

Humidification equipment will need to be temporarily relocated then reinstalled.

All necessary demolition & reinstallation of piping / ductwork for coil replacement shall be included.

6. Project Schedule: The period of performance is 153 calendar days from Notice to Proceed.

7. Warranty:

· All replaced parts shall include a manufacturer’s warranty.

· Contractor shall provide a one(1) year workmanship warranty from the date of completion.

8. Inspection and Acceptance:

Prior to the Government technical representative accepting any work, the contractor is responsible for performing or having performed all inspections and tests necessary to substantiate that the supplies or services furnished conform to the requirements, including any applicable technical requirements for specified manufacturers’ parts.
