About this file

This memorandum outlines technical requirements for two infrared imagers to be procured by the Department of the Air Force. Specifically, it seeks one longwave infrared (LWIR) camera with a strained-layer superlattice detector, 7.5-11.5mm spectral range, 1280x1024 resolution, and >45Hz frame rate. It also requires one midwave infrared (MWIR) camera with an indium antimonide detector, 3.0-5.0mm spectral range, and the same resolution and frame rate. Both cameras must have adjustable integration time, Gigabit Ethernet output compliant with GigE Vision 2.0, f/2.5 lens mount, and inclusion of two 25mm and 50mm motorized lenses. Additional requirements include compatible form factor, manual lens compatibility, calibration, documentation, and pelican case delivery. The related solicitation specifies these as a sole source buy of FLIR cameras due to the technical requirements, with questions by February 20th and offers due February 24th through the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Test Center.
