STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)

Fort Frederica National Monument

Replace VC Exterior Windows

Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, material, tools, equipment, supplies, transportation and incidentals necessary to remove, replace and paint, 21 double hung, wood windows, 6 over 6, 9 over 9, and 2 over 2 panes, with double insulated windows. All work shall be done in accordance with generally accepted practices for the trade.

BASE BID

• Remove and Replace 4, double hung, wood windows, 6 over 6 panes, (2) 34”x 38”, (2) 48”x 70”

• Remove and Replace 3, double hung, wood windows, 9 over 9 panes, (48”x 70”)

• Remove and Replace 9, double hung wood windows, 2 over 2 panes, (34”x 40”)

• Prime and Paint new windows, both sides and trim, with one primer coat and two finish coats of latex, low VOC, semi-gloss paint.

Bid Additive 001

• Remove and Replace 3, double hung, wood windows, 6 over 6 panes (48”x 70”)

• Remove and Replace 2, double hung, wood windows, 2 over 2 panes (34”x 40”)

• Prime and Paint new windows, both sides and trim, with one primer coat and two finish coats of latex, low VOC, semi-gloss paint.

Special Considerations:

• Dimensions are “APPROXIMATE”. Contractor shall field verify all dimensions.

• Replacement material will be like in kind and be approved in writing before ordering.

• Contractor will comply with all OSHA, Federal, State, and local regulations.

• Construction site will be cleaned up at the end of each day.

• Disposal of all construction debris is the responsibility of the contractor.

• Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.

• No work on government holidays.

• Work on the weekend must be approved by the COR and must be requested at least 72 hours in advance.

• Paint colors are to match existing and be approved by the COR.

• The area will remain open to visitors while the work of this contract is executed. As all resources and operations of the NPS are ultimately paid for by the U.S taxpayer, any visitors that the contractor comes into contact with, should be considered a customer and be accorded all reasonable courtesy.
