About this file

This certification test plan outlines requirements for validating repairs and upgrades to a Remote Pump Module System at Tinker Air Force Base. Initial certification requires verifying flow, pressure, and temperature specifications across boost and main pumps at maximum output. Full certification involves simultaneously running three test units across four test stations while maintaining supply parameters and recording pressure, flow, and temperature measurements at regular intervals. Test results must be compiled in a spreadsheet and provided to the government for evaluation.

The related solicitation seeks quotes for a B3907 Remote Pump Module Upgrade set aside for small businesses. Responses are due by the closing date on page one and must include company information, pricing on page three, and a written statement explaining how the offeror will meet technical requirements. The solicitation is issued by the Air Force Sustainment Center for the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command.

Appendix F – Certification Test Plan Remote Pump Module System

1. Introduction This document describes the certification test plan to validate the repairs & upgrades to the Remote Pump Module System (RPMS), pump rack located in Building 3907 Room 115, and control cabinets located remotely in Room 118 are successful. The full certification process is to verify the RPMS will supply adequate MIL-PRF-7024 Type II Calibration Fluid to test stands as required. During certification the contractor shall perform a particle count of RPMS fluid, as identified below, to insure no contamination to the system or attached test stands has occurred.

2. Initial Certification

2.1 Initial certification procedure is as follows:

2.1.1 Use the newly installed and calibrated pressure and flow supply header measurement device.

2.1.2 Turn on successive boost pumps and main pumps to provide maximum output flow and maintaining within pressure limits.

2.1.3 As each main and boost pump is open record the flow and pressure measurements and note which pumps are running.

2.1.4 At maximum output flow, take and record three (3) pressure, flow, and temperature measurements spaced at 20 minute intervals.

2.1.4.1 Flow accuracy shall be ± 20 GPM (Gallons per Minute) and pressure accuracy shall be ± 20 PSIG (Pounds per Square Inch, Gauge Pressure) per Appendix H inlet flow requirements.

2.1.4.2 Temperature shall be controlled to 85 ± 10°F (Degrees Fahrenheit) per SOW Appendix G and H.

2.1.5 Perform a particle count test per manual 1TL32-6718-2 (SOW Appendix G) and record results. Maximum Allowable contamination per 50 ml sample is listed below.

Contaminate Particle Size Maximum Allowable

Metal > 5 Micron 40,000

> 25 Micron 2,000

> 101 Micron 0

Fiber 7

2.1.6 Compile and document all results in spreadsheet form using Microsoft Excel.

3. Full Certification Process

3.1 Full Certification procedure is as follows:

3.1.1 Government operator will simultaneously run UUT Final Test on 3 of the 4 test stations supplied by the RPMS.

3.1.1.1 UUTs ran will be qty. one (1) Augmentor Fuel Control (AFC) and qty. two (2) Main Fuel Controls (MFC) in accordance with their applicable USAF Technical Order (T.O.).

3.1.1.2 UUTs will be serviceable (A-condition) assets, selection will be determined by availability.

3.1.2 Before stands are run simultaneously first verify each stand is receiving flow as requested from the RPMS. Verify RPMS supplied flow and pressure remain in limits.

3.1.3 For the simultaneous test stand run, UUTs will be set at high flow and constant rate, Test point 11.090 (Resolver Calibration) or equivalent, to obtain calibration fluid inlet readings.

3.1.3.1 Take and record three (3) pressure, flow, and temperature measurements spaced at 20 minute intervals for each test stand (9 readings per stand, 27 total readings).

3.1.3.2 Record the UUT part numbers and test stand OC numbers ran.

3.1.3.3 Perform a particle count test per manual 1TL32-6718-2 (SOW Appendix G) and record results.

3.1.4 Repeat steps 3.1.3 through 3.1.3.3 twice more.

3.1.5 Compile and document all results in spreadsheet form using Microsoft Excel
