About this file
This is Amendment #2 to a Request for Quote issued by the State of South Carolina Department of Administration Purchasing Office for John de la Howe's Data Room Relocation project. The solicitation involves fiber optic installation and connectivity work at the De La Howe Hall building located at 192 Getty's Road, McCormick, South Carolina. The project requires single mode fiber installation with PLP enclosures, though fiber count and connectivity specifications remain to be determined. A mandatory site visit was scheduled for June 20, 2022, at 10:00 AM. Questions from offerors were due by June 21, 2022, at 2:00 PM, and offers were due by June 24, 2022, at 2:00 PM. The award was scheduled to be posted on June 28, 2022. The amendment clarifies that McKissick Memorial Chapel and McKissick building are not included in this scope; only De La Howe Hall is involved. Additionally, fiber splicing on existing fibers will be performed outside of De La Howe Hall and brought around the building, contrary to initial assumptions that work would occur in the basement.
The solicitation requires submission of one copy of the offer online through the South Carolina procurement website. Offerors must acknowledge receipt of this amendment by identifying it on Page Two of their submission. The Procurement Officer for this solicitation is Cayce Nobles, reachable at 803-737-1749 or cayce.nobles@admin.sc.gov. Offerors are required to hold their offers open for a minimum of thirty calendar days after the opening date. South Carolina vendor preferences apply to this procurement and must be claimed by line item, with vendors required to certify qualification for any preferences claimed. No pricing terms, set-asides, or funding amounts are specified in this amendment document.
