1.2 Test Article (UUT) Description and Function

The cables being tested in this procedure are part of the RFSE system. They are used to route electrical signals between the RFSE equipment and their respective UUT.

1.3 Test Description

This Test Procedure (TP) specifies the setup details and testing of the various types of rack interconnect cables used on the RFSE system. This Test Procedure will be used in conjunction with a Standard Operation Instruction (SOP), RFE-SOP23039882, which directs the operation of test equipment to be used for this testing.

1.4 Tests

Testing of each cable is typically a two-step operation. A manual continuity test will be performed first followed by a test of the Dielectric Withstanding and Insulation Resistance using the DIT-MCO automated tester. If the DIT-MCO tester is not available at the time of test, an alternate manual method may be used by following the instructions of TP-SOP23039509. The DIT-MCO tester is the primary and preferred method of testing.

1.5 Test Configuration

Testing of these cables, listed in Appendix B, will be performed in an environmentally controlled laboratory. The cables will be tested on a software controlled automated test set, connected via interconnect cables. Continuity testing will be performed manually.

1.6 Test Data Package

All test results will be recorded on individual data sheets for each cable that is tested. These data sheets are in Appendix A of this document. The final test data package shall consist of the completed “Data Sheet”, the “Procedure History Sheet”, and all DIT-MCO test data. This completed data package will be delivered to and maintained by the Data Retention Center

(DRC).
