Alaska XP Shelter 20’ x 32.5’ with (2) Hard Doors

(AKS-BA145)

Specifications

• Dimensions: 20' wide x 32.5' long x 10’ high (Quonset shape)

• Shelter is an aluminum frame, free-span type tent with no poles in the center of the tent.

• Shelter frame consists of (6) arches, (3) rows of purlins between each arch and (4) end uprights.

• Each shelter arch is made from individual sections that are hinged together to make one continuous arch.

• The bottom leg of each arch has a pre-attached base pad with holes for spikes or concrete anchors.

• Each end upright has a pre-attached base pad with holes for spikes or concrete anchors.

• Each purlin slips into a purlin sleeve on the side of the arch section. No bolts or pins of any kind are used.

• Shelter frame is powder coated for maximum corrosion resistance in salt water or other corrosive type environments.

• Cover, floor, and end panels are made from 15oz Mil-Spec vinyl that is certified to

USIFI-PRF-44103A.

• Cover and end panels are pre-attached to each other to speed assembly but can be separated from each other if any of the three sections (cover, front end panel, back end panel) gets damaged and needs to be replaced.

• Shelter includes a 15oz non-slip Mil-Spec vinyl floor. The floor is completely removable and replaceable while the shelter is erected and anchored to the ground.

• The vinyl floor system has a 6” lip that attaches and seals to the cover and end walls to prevent the intrusion of dust, insects, water, etc. from entering the shelter.

• Shelter includes (2) 30” x 80” hard doors, 1 per each end panel, with recessed door handle and door header.

o Hard doors can be zipped into or out of the end panel for quick installation and replacement.

• Each end wall has a triple layer construction (outer vinyl material, insulation, and inner liner material).

• Each end wall has a connector flap to attach to a 7’ wide x 9’ high vestibule.

• Shelter includes (14) insulated 30” x 42” windows (2-per end panel, 5-per each side of cover) with blackout cover, clear window panel and net screen.

• Shelter includes (2) sets of 18" diameter ECU/HVAC ports per each shelter.

• Shelter is designed to allow one shelter to attach to another shelter of the same width and height in an end-to-end fashion to meet any future change in mission that will require shelters to be connected end to end.

• Shelter includes a fire-retardant plenum to distribute hot and cold air from an ECU throughout the shelter.

• Shelter includes a one-piece insulating liner system.

• Shelter includes an electrical/lighting kit with the following items:

o (1) Single-phase power distribution box (PDB) with (2) 20A GFCI circuit breakers,

(1) 20A circuit breaker, (4) twist lock cable connectors and (1) light switch. PDB has been NRTL tested and listed for UL1640.

o (1) Light string with (10) LED screw in bulbs.

o (2) Receptacle lines with (2-drop) triplex NEMA receptacles per line and hanging brackets.

o (1) 50’ power cable to connect to exterior power distribution system.

o (2) 15’ light extension cables

• Shelter includes a spares/repair kit.

• Shelter includes a set of carry bags for all components.

• Shelter includes a wood crate for shipping.

• Shelter has been successfully tested to withstand a 15-pound per square foot snow load.

• Shelter has been successfully tested to withstand a sustained wind load of 80 MPH with

100 MPH gusts.

• Shelter has been successfully tested to withstand 4” of rain per hour with 60 MPH sustained wind speed with 75 MPH gusts.

• Shelter has been successfully tested to withstand 100 set up and strike cycles with no critical failures.

• Shelter can be set up “under canopy” (installation of frame, cover, end panels, liner and floor) in less than 5 minutes with 4 trained persons, and completely set up in less than 10 minutes with 4 trained persons.

• Shelter includes a 5-year non-prorated warranty.

• Shelter field life: 10-12 years

• Shelter storage life: 30 years

• Shelter meets Berry Amendment (DFAR 252.225-7012).
