B. FOR FABRICATION AND PLACEMENT OF CUSHIONING, SEE ILLUSTRATIONS ON SHEETS 2 AND 3.

C. CLOSURE SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM-D 1974, METHOD 4B2.

D. AFTER PLACING CONTAINER IN BAG, CLOSE BAG BY HEAT SEALING.

E. CLOSURE SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM-D 1974, METHOD 2B3.

F. MARKING:

EACH CONTAINER SHALL BE MARKED AS HAZARDOUS MATERIAL IN ACCORDANCE WITH MIL-STD-129 AND CFR49. IN ADDITION TO HAZARDOUS MATERIAL MARKINGS, CONTAINER SHALL BE MARKED “THIS END UP” WITH DIRECTIONAL

ARROWS POINTING TOWARDS EXTINGUISHER VALVE ASSEMBLY.

G. PACKING:

LEVEL A PACKING SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED USING WOOD-CLEATED PANELBOARD SHIPPING BOXES, CONFORMING TO ASTM-D 6251, TYPE III, CLASS 2 OR NAILED WOOD BOXES CONFORMING TO ASTM-D 6880, CLASS 2.

LEVEL B PACKING SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED USING FIBERBOARD BOXES, WEATHER RESISTANT, CONFORMING TO ASTM-D 5118 OR TRIPLEWALL, CORRUGATED FIBERBOARD BOXES, CLASS 2, CONFORMING TO ASTM-D 5168.

CLOSURE, SEALING, AND REINFORCEMENT SHALL BE IAW SPECIFIC, APPLICABLE METHODS OF ASTM-D 1974, OR AS

REFERENCED IN THE CONTAINER SPECIFICATION.
