Fort Valley Experimental Forest – Building Renovations Pre-Bid 04/20/16 1330 MDT

General Notes:

• Ensure that all requirements for sections L & M are complete in proposals.

• Asbestos and Lead-based paint abatement is to be completed by certified personnel. A

Hazardous Materials Assessment has been completed for all buildings, and the executive report is included in the solicitation.

• Camping onsite or in buildings will not be permitted.

Questions:

Q – Will conex-type storage units be allowed onsite?

A – Yes, we will allow those types of units to be placed onsite. Securing tools, materials, etc. is encouraged.

Q – Building 27 – What does electrical removal include?

A – Removal of all wiring, receptacles, and surface-mount conduit, and shall include removal of all overhead wiring to the adjacent tree.

Q – Who is responsible party in terms of code compliance and inspections – city, county?

A – These jobs are under Federal jurisdiction and shall comply with International Code. No local inspections are required.

Q – Who signs off on the Hazardous Materials manifest?

A – Shall be signed as “XYZ Contractor, on behalf of USDA Forest Service, Rocky Mountain Research Station.”
