Q1: Where in the circuitry are the transfer switches going? I assume we are interrupting the main feeds to the panels. (1) 400 amp and (1) 100 amp.

A1: The transfer switches will be located next to the main feed panels.

Q2: Is there a black out time for shut downs?

Particular dates or days of the week?

A2: No. However, the shutdown period should avoid the hottest portion of the day and needs to be coordinated with the location scientist.

Q3: Is there a preferred location for the transfer switches?

A3: The transfer switches will be located next to the main feed panels.

Q4: Is exposed above ground conduit acceptable?

A4: There is local foot, cart, and small vehicle traffic (forklift) all around the proposed generator and transfer switch site, so above ground conduit is not preferred for safety reasons.

Q5: Is overhead gas line feed to generator acceptable?

A5: There is local foot, cart, and small vehicle traffic (forklift) all around the proposed generator and transfer switch site, so above ground gas line is not preferred for safety reasons.

Q6: If underground installation is required will the government be furnishing radar of area to be excavated?

A6: The location can get USA (or other vendor) to mark underground utility lines in areas to be excavated.

Q7: Who is the local authority that will provide inspections?

A7: The Government designated representative

(Location Monitor) will participate in final inspection and acceptance. If local codes require local authority participate for commissioning/start-up, the contractor shall coordinate such participation.

Q8: Will you please verify that the gas supply lines are sufficient at the site to supply the generator as specified? Will you designate the location that we are to tie in the piping and what pressure it needs to be regulated to?

A8: The contractor shall connect to the gas source within 25¿ of the installation site.

Connection to the main gas supply line is not necessary.
