REPAIR WATER-DAMAGED AREAS OF
USDA, ARS, San Joaquin Valley Agricultural Science Center Parlier, CA
STATEMENT OF WORK
INTRODUCTION
Due to water leak that occurred during the Government shutdown (Oct 1 – 16, 2013), several areas in the east wing of the USDA, Agricultural Research Service, San Joaquin Valley Agricultural Sciences Center main building suffered damage: in the walls and floors of a small conference room, the adjoining hallway and specific areas of a break room.
After the leak was discovered, a remediation contractor removed sheetrock walls in conference room, adjoining hallway and break room, as mold contaminated. Inspection and sample collection determined no visible mold on any of the walls, exposed wood wall studs and flooring, in the contained area. Moisture readings taken from the contained area determined that remaining sheetrock walls and wood wall studs were dry.
Currently, the area is clean and is in good condition to proceed with repair.
