Statement of Work

Replace Greenhouse Roof Panels

USDA – ARS, Raleigh, NC

Project Summary

The USDA-ARS Plant Science Research facility in Raleigh, North Carolina has an aluminum-framed greenhouse for research purposes. Greenhouse 4 is approximately 2850 ft². The roof consists of 44 double-wall 16mm acrylic panels, 47-1/4” wide by 19’ long.

Scope of work

Contractor will remove, dispose of, and replace all roof panels, their hardware, and any seals necessary to ensure a watertight roof. The contractor is to notify the USDA in a timely manner if any structural damage is discovered during removal of existing roof panels. Replacement panels are to be clear 16mm x 47 ¼” twin wall acrylic. Any hardware used shall be rust resistant. The contractor is responsible for protecting greenhouse interiors from rain in the event of inclement weather during construction.

Working hours and building access will be from 7:30am until 5:00pm Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays which will result in no access for that day. Power for tools and an area for staging materials will be provided by the USDA.

Work shall be in compliance with this statement of work, the General Specifications attached, and all local, state, and federal regulations applicable to the work to be performed.

Monitoring

Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) will make daily inspections of work progress and quality.

Pricing Breakdown

Contractor shall provide a quote to replace all roof panels on Greenhouse 4.
