Demolition Notes:

General Notes:

1. The schedule for demolition of the lagoons and sand filters is anticipated to begin in the summer and/or fall of 2016. The IDEQ and

Idaho Heal District will be notified prior to construction work.

2. A pre-closure meeting will be held with the

IDEQ prior to the project start date.

3. The Contractor shall submit a demolition plan for approval of the CO prior to commencement of construction work.

4. Structures/Equipment to be Removed:

A. Lagoons - The lagoon cells will be drained.

Any sludge, membrane liners and other above grade structures and piping will be removed and disposed of properly offsite.

Any below grade piping will be capped and abandoned in place.

B. Sand Filter - The membrane liner shall be removed and disposed properly offsite along with equipment/piping above grade will be properly disposed of offsite, Below grade piping will be capped and abandoned in place.

5. The Contractor is responsible to cap or plug all cut and abandoned sewer pipes during or as a result of this project.

The new sewer system structures and existing utilities shown are from the Red

River Waste Water Collection and Treatment

General Notes:

1. Soil stockpiled at the Red River

Quarry will be used to fill the lagoons to a grade that allows for drainage into the adjacent grass lined flat bottom ditch. Any below grade piping will be capped and remain in place.

2. Sand in the sand filter will be salvaged and used as fill material at for the sand filter after removal of the membrane. The difference in fill needed to bring the filter area to grade to drain will be from the soil stockpiles at the Red River Quarry.

3. All disturbed areas shall be seeded once final grade has been reached for the lagoons and sand filter.
