About this file

This document is Addendum No. One for Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 22039 issued by the Fairbanks North Star Borough (FNSB) General Services Department for the Carlson Activity Center Mechanical Controls Replacement project. The addendum, dated January 25, 2022, modifies the original bid specifications and is scheduled for bid opening on February 3, 2022, at 2:00 PM. Key modifications include deleting Additive Alternate 1 related to Power Factor Reduction, updating building management system requirements, and clarifying software installation and upgrade expectations for the borough's maintenance systems.

The addendum provides specific technical adjustments, such as requirements for the building management system to integrate with FNSB's existing remote server and technician laptops, mandating the installation of the latest control manufacturer's software, and coordinating software updates with maintenance staff. Additional changes involve clarifying drawing notations for equipment fans (EF/RF) and noting that certain electrical breakers for heat trace circuits have already been installed. Bidders are required to acknowledge this amendment either by signing the bid schedule sheet or submitting a signed amendment sheet prior to the bid opening date.
