About this file
This document is Addendum #01 issued by the School Board of Polk County, Florida, for a Request for Proposal (RFP) #046-PLA-0414 for Internal Accounts Auditing Services. The addendum modifies the original RFP, providing clarifications and responses to vendor questions about an audit of internal accounts for approximately 58 schools as of 2013, with the potential to cover up to 114 schools. The audit will be conducted in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and Government Auditing Standards, with the primary purpose of expressing an opinion on the financial statements of the Board's agency internal activity funds. Most audit work will be performed at the District offices, with no anticipated school visits required, and exit conferences to be conducted by telephone.
The addendum includes historical pricing information showing the audit services cost $21,000 for 30 schools in 2011 and 2012, increasing to $57,100 for 58 schools in 2013. The pricing varies by school type, ranging from $750 for elementary schools to $2,000 for high schools. The RFP requires a cyber liability policy, though this can be included in a general liability policy. All documentation and records will be provided electronically, with the ability to scan additional information as needed. The document indicates that an Independent Auditor's Report with an opinion on the financial statements is required, and no additional special requirements or preferences beyond the original RFP were identified by the School Board.
