Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument (SAPU) Mountainair, NM Painting International 4300 Truck Performance Work Statement (PWS)

Background The subject vehicle used by SAPU maintenance division for transporting heavy equipment has paint peeling from various body panels. This creates and unsightly and poor image of the Park.

Purpose and Objective of Acquisition The purpose of the service acquisition is to award a local auto painting company with a contract to strip, feather and color match the compromised surfaces of the vehicle and restore it to a uniform color and finish.

Requirement Details The dimension of the vehicle is 8.5’ H x 23’ L x 10’ W. VIN# 1HTMMMML9GH377393 The vehicle has several spots where the original paint is peeling. The requirement is to feather the edges at the peeling sites, prepare the surface for paint, match the OEM paint and apply the paint to the areas so that the vehicle is returned to its OEM finish.

SAPU representatives will deliver the vehicle for quoting and painting. Upon competition the Park will return to pick up the vehicle.

Upon completion of the painting the awarded entity will release the vehicle into the possession of the National Park Service so it can be used in its daily operations. Upon the release of the vehicle to the SAPU staff the awarded entity shall submit an invoice through the Invoice Processing Platform (IPP). The entity shall not withhold returning or releasing the vehicle to NPS once the service is completed. It is the sole responsibility of the awarded entity to complete and maintain registration in the IPP system. It is heavily encouraged that the IPP registration status be confirmed upon submitting a quote.
