STATEMENT OF WORK

Havasu National Wildlife Refuge (NWR)

CAT 299D3 Track Replacement Lake Havasu National Wildlife Refuge Complex

Topock, Arizona August 2025

BACKGROUND

This Statement of Work is for a service contract to install and replace two tracks on Havasu National Wildlife Refuge CAT compact loader model 299D3 on-site at the Refuge. This compact loader is Havasu NWR only compact loader which is used for vegetation control with a mastication head and for various construction projects on the Refuge.

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT NEEDS

The awardee shall remove both existing tracks and replace them with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) track system. Awardee shall grease and adjust tracks to CAT specs. Awardee shall test and check machine to meet manufacturers specifications. Awardee shall clean and remove any contaminates created during repair. Awardee shall leave both tracks to Refuge staff to dispose.

SCOPE OF WORK

Awardee shall provide all equipment, materials, tools, and labor to remove and replace the skid steer tracks.

• Remove both existing tracks.

• Install two new tracks systems

• Grease and adjust to manufacture specifications

• Test/check machine after repairs

• Clean machine of any residue or contaminates

• Leave old tracks for Refuge staff to dispose

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE

Work shall be completed within 120 days of contract award date.

HOURS OF OPERATION

The Contractor is responsible for conducting business, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday except Federal holidays at the contractor’s option. The contractor must always maintain an adequate workforce for the uninterrupted performance of all tasks defined within this contract when the government facility is not closed. When hiring personnel, the contractor shall keep in mind that the stability and continuity of the workforce are essential. The facility is closed on recognized Federal holidays. The contractor is not required to perform work on these remaining 2025 holidays:

Labor Day, 1st Monday in September Columbus Day, 2nd Monday in October Veteran’s Day, November 11th or the Friday preceding or Monday following.

Thanksgiving Day, 4th Thursday in November Christmas Day, December 25th or the Friday preceding or Monday following.
