STATEMENT OF WORK (2023 06 07)
Service
Replace Geothermal Heat Pump
PR Number: _______________
1. General:
1.1 Creston National Fish Hatchery (NFH), 780 Creston Hatchery Rd, Kalispell, MT 59901.
Service, Replace geothermal heat pump in the Ecological Services (ES) office building.
1.2 Purpose/End Application: This project will ensure that the ES office is provided cooling and heating through the use of geothermal heat pumps.
1.3 Contractor Qualifications: The contractor must be appropriately licensed and certified within the state of Montana for the installation and repai of geothermal heating and cooling systems..
1.4 Other: The contractor must follow all associated regulations and laws including:
Municiple, Federal, State, and County.
2. Place of Performance and Period of Performance
2.1 Work is to be performed at Creston NFH, 780 Creston Hatchery Rd, Kalispell, MT 59901.
2.2 This project needs to be completed prior October 1, 2023, due to the incoming cold starting in the fall.
2.3 Normal duty hours Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. In the event of emergencies, Contractor shall provide contact information.
2.4 Non-duty hours include week nights, weekends, and Government holidays (New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King JR.s’s Birthday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day).
3. Scope
3.1 Contractor shall provide and install a new geothermal heat pump and associated materials necessary for the complete operation of the geothermal system. The contractor shall dispose of the old geothermal heat pump and associated materials. The contractor shall train designated hatchery empoyees on the operation of the installed systems. The disposal of and installation of the geothermal heat pumpand associated materials shall be performed in accordance with al local, county, state and federal laws and regulations.
4. Deliverables and/or Delivery Schedule: (for extended list a bid schedule and/or use of line item detail on the PR is recommended)
4.1 The contractor shall provide and install a 4-Ton Climate Master Tranquility 22 High
Efficiency Geothermal Heat Pump that includes: a 2-stage compressor, copper heat exchanger, variable speed fan, and modulating pump.
4.2 The contractor shall remove and legally dispose of the old geothermal heat pump and associated materials required for the repair.
4.3 All associated equipment and all required materials for installation and operation shall be provided and installed by the contractor including: 10 kW electric heat kit, hydronic flow center pump station, compressor start assist kit, ATC digital thermostat, duct modifications necessary for installation.
4.4 The contractor shall start each system to ensure proper operation and clean work area prior to leaving the work site.
4.5 The contractor shall provide the designated U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service representative with all user manuals, data sheets, warranty paperwork, etc.; and ensure the designated users understand operation and maintenance procedures for the installed equipment.
5. Data Management Plan (DMP) N/A

(GFI)
6.1 Creston NFH will provide restrooms, electricity, and water for the contractor to using while the contracted work is being completed.
6.2 Identify any limitations. N/A
7. Evaluation and Acceptance
7.1 The contractor will be evaluated as detailed herein. Government acceptance is contingent upon: designated U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service representative(s) determining the work to be acceptable and in good working order.
8. Quality Control/Quality Assurance:
8.1 For commercial supplies reference clauses for inspection and acceptance. Where appropriate, QC will be maintained according to industry standards and made available to the agency with the contractor’s proposal.
8.2 Identify and detail measures for assessing quality control and acceptance; each requirement is unique and a table format is visually friendly and may be desirable.
