Question: What style and color would you prefer for the new carpet? There is a price difference depending on these two things.
Response: The color we are looking for is "Earth Tones" with a woven pattern. From the other buildings on base that just had carpet installed, they used the Bigelow CEO pattern and that is what we want. It is a woven type pattern.
Question: Please advise what the product is that is being removed (VCT or Carpet Tile, etc.) and color preference for new material.
Response: Carpet to be removed is tile carpet. The color we are looking for is "Earth Tones" with a woven pattern.
Question: In reference to Solicitation 9TC358, is there a drawing available for the areas to receive new carpet?
Response: The only drawing we have is the floor plan but it does not specify the exact area of where the carpet will be installed just the building (it is of very poor quality – see attached).
Question: Can you please describe the furniture that needs to be lifted and moved for the FA3047-09-TC358 solicitation. Is it stand alone desks, etc? Or is it the modular, interconnected, systems furniture? I ask this because the latter is much more time consuming/difficult to move.
Response: We have a mixture of both types...stand alone and interconnected.
Question: Number of offices needing carpet?
Response: Approximately 25 rooms.
Question: Type of furniture that will have to be moved around (approximate number of desks, credenzas, etc.)
Response: There are stand alone and interconnected type desks in all rooms. Tables and chairs in conference rooms.
Question: Will equipment be provided to move furniture around?
Response: No – contractor is responsible for providing all equipment.
Question: Estimated completion date?
Response: July 2009.
