The Instron Model 68TM-5 Extra Height Universal Test System, Table Mounted Materials
Testing System is designed to perform tensile, compression, flex, peel, puncture, friction, shear tests, and more.
The NEXT GENERATION 6800 Series universal testing systems range in capacity from 500 N to
50 kN and provide exceptional performance with unparalleled accuracy and reliability. Offering up to 5 kHz data acquisition and 0.5% accuracy down to 1/1000th of load cell capacity, the 6800
Series offers ultimate flexibility for any testing need.
1.0 Description of Service: Procure and installation of equipment and all required components
1.1 Item Description: Instron 68T-M Universal Test System: Table mounted materials testing system, force capacity of 5kN.
A. Load Cells: Tension/Compression 5kN, Static 500 N & 100 N, Piggyback load cell adaptor
B. Bluehill Universal Software
C. All-in-one Operator Dashboard touchscreen PC, 21.5” monitor and integrated controller
D. Environmental Chamber system with temperature controller and all required accessories
E. Heavy Duty Support Table

2.0 Scope of Work:
2.1 The installation shall be performed by an Instron factory and field trained service engineers.
The following activities will be performed:
2.1.1 Set up of system
2.1.2 Safety awareness and general testing safety precautions
2.1.3 Make all physical and electrical connections
2.1.4 Mount, install and test all peripheral fixtures and transducers, environmental chambers and any major accessories that are supplied with the system
2.1.5 Check correct operation of the system
2.1.6 Check correct operation of all electrical components and mechanical assemblies and transducers
2.1.7 Configure controller and test for correct operation including adjustments and tuning
2.1.8 General instructions associated with any hardware elements of the system
2.1.9 Review basic operation manuals and any other related documentation
3.0 Warranty: All Instron testing equipment instruments warranted against defects in material and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of delivery.
4.0 Period of Performance: Shall not exceed 14 days. Start date shall be coordinated with 582
MMXS/MXDTA, POC.
5.0 Place of Performance: Propellant Test Laboratory Bldg. 2021, Hill AFB, UT.
6.0 Security Requirements: Contractor shall adhere to current installation and organizational security policies
7.0 Government Furnished Property (GFP) and Service. The US Government will not provide any equipment, fuel, personnel, utilities or facilities to the contractor for the execution of this contract. Should an emergency arise, only the necessary basic lifesaving and life support measures will be provided during the emergency.
8.0 Government Point of Contact (POC):
