Text version
This Amendment is issued to clarify the following:
Unscheduled inspections shall be paid for by the Government under CLIN 0002 of the resulting contract, as a FFP for services and direct costs and expenses subject to reimbursement if negotiated with, and approved by the Contracting Officer at the Task Order level prior to performing the inspection service.
Scheduled inspections will be paid for the Airlines. The contractor hereby understands and accepts that in consideration for the opportunity provided to it by the Government to engage in inspections of A/C as ordered under CLIN 00001, the Contractor waives any and all claims for compensation or reimbursement from the Government for such services rendered under CLIN 00001; that the Contractor shall look only to the A/C owner/operator the subject of the service(s) rendered by Contractor under CLIN 00001 for compensation or reimbursement, as the case may
be. The Contractor represents that this waiver of claims against the Government is knowing, informed and supported by the afore-described consideration.
The minimum guaranteed contract amount under CLIN 0002 is $5,000.00.
As required by FAR 16.504, the Contracting Officer describes the process for awarding Task Orders under the resulting IDIQ contract: Task Orders for services ordered by the Government under CLIN 0002 shall be awarded in accordance with FAR 16.505(b). The Contracting Officer has determined that sufficient information has been provided by each awardee as part of the competition for this multiple award IDIQ contract to facilitate the Fair Opportunity for competition for award of each Task Order.
Evaluation Factor 5 is denominated “Price”, rather than “Cost”. The Contracting Officer is not required to undertake a cost or price realism analysis. The Contracting Officer will examine proposed prices to determine that the Vendor’s offered price is fair and reasonable.
