About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for solicitation 80NSSC26917719Q-1 concerning a Bard AC Unit. The Q&A clarifies two key points: first, this is a separate AC unit with its own refrigerant charge, not a modification to an existing Bard W60HY-A00 unit. Second, the solicitation covers both the purchase and installation of the AC unit, with the agency noting that most HVAC contractors require purchasing the unit before installation.

Q&A Document
80NSSC26917719Q-1 – Bard AC Unit
Q: Is this for a separate unit all together or a unit change to the Bard W60HY-A00 (changing to R410A)?
A: It is a separate unit with its own refrigerant charge.
Q: I’m writing to clarify whether this solicitation requires the purchase of the Bard AC Unit, or if it pertains solely to the installation. Does this include purchasing of the unit or only installation. Meaning do you have the unit already?
A: This is a unit purchase and installation. We have been told by the local HVAC contractors that most companies will not install a unit that they did not purchase.
