Solicitation # 75N95020Q00151 - Reference Clinical Laboratory Services for the Healthy Aging in Neighborhoods of Diversity across the Life Span (HANDLS) Study
The due date for responses to this solicitation has been extended to July 2, 2020, by 12:00 p.m. (noon) EDT.
List of questions received followed by the Government’s response to the questions in red font:
Question: Could this requirement be modified for overnight delivery of tests/specimens for lab testing by early the next morning? Otherwise, competition is limited/restricted to a local lab in the Baltimore area whereas modifying the requirement will encompass greater competition and value to the Government.
Response: No. The Government requires a vendor to pick up specimens daily between 1:00 and 1:30 p.m. (Eastern Daylight Time) for delivery to the contractor’s laboratory within 5 hours for processing, as stated in the Statement of Work. The Government is seeking a vendor capable of providing personnel (or drivers) to pick up and deliver the time sensitive samples to the testing lab within 5 hours as stated.
Question: Is there an established specific specimen pick up location?
Response: Yes. 5225 Hamilton Ave Baltimore MD 21206; however, the specimens are in a Mobile Research Vehicle, and they are moved periodically, so the location is subject to change. All locations will be in or near the city limits of Baltimore.
Question: For the specific requirement of “the specimens to be picked up between 1:00p- 1:30P daily and delivered to the contractors laboratory within 5 hours for processing”, does processing mean the actual laboratory test being performed?
Response: Yes.
