1. Can you provide NAVSEA Drawing 803-1385866, Rev E, Penetration that is referenced in WORK ITEM 16:

Forepeak Tank Vent/Gooseneck, Renew section of the spec?

1. Response: We do not provide the NAVSEA drawings, we don’t have access to them.

2. Work Item 12: Scullery Deck, Renew – Is the intention of Work Item 12 to remove and replace the entire tile floor in the Scullery? Does the entire work table come out? Can you provide more detail as to what interferences should come out in preparation to crop and renew 6 square feet of deck plating?

2. Response: It is not our intention to renew all of the tile in the scullery, only in the area where the deck has to be renewed. The area in need of renewal will have a bit of the tile in the way, and some piping that may need to be renewed because it goes through the deck.

3. Work Item 14: Scullery Drains – Note 3.2 calls for 100 UT measurements on the deck plating. How does the match up with the 50 UT measurements required in 3.1 of Work Item 12? Is the intention to have 150 UT measurements on the deck plating in the Scullery?

Response: Yes, we would like to have 150 UT shots total in the area of the scullery.

4. Request clarification on Work Item – 12, Para 3.1.4, the deck is covered with Quarry tile, is it the governments intent to remove and renew all of the Quarry tile in the scullery?

Response: We only intend to renew the tiles around what has to be removed as an interference, not the entire scullery.

5. Work Item 29: Oily Water Separator; Replace – On reference drawing (618 WMEC 529-011, Rev A) a bill of materials is shown for the OWS Piping Modifications. Some of the fittings called out are standard fittings such as those listed by manufacturer “BONNEY FORGE”. Are contractors to submit pricing of only fittings supplied by the respective manufacturer shown on the drawings or can contractors price and install fittings which meet the same industry standards?

Response: They can be equivalent valves. They don’t have to be Bonney Forge.

6. Work Items 2 through 7 directly affect the ship’s habitability. Conversations with ship’s personnel indicate a crew size of ~76 persons working during the daytime, and 10 persons staying on the ship round the clock. We have provided for two three stall shower/restroom trailers to be onsite for the duration of the ship’s work items 2 through

7. Is this sufficient size for the need?

Response: Yes those will work. Please refer to SFLC Standard Spec 0000 for this information.

7. Work Item 027: A request for supply of an “or equal” fire alarm panel (Ansul vs Monitor)

Response: We will not accept an equivalent panel. It must be the one we described in the spec.

Response: Equivalent valves will work.
