USCGC BENJAMIN DAILEY DS
RFC: 01
Work Item 5: Sewage & Grey Water System; Clean & Inspect
Paragraph 3.1.5 Temporary Services
QUESTION NO. One: For the purpose of accurately estimating the level of temporary sanitation facilities that will be required during the dockside repair availability how many Ship’s Force personnel will be on board the ship on a daily basis?
CG APM REPLY: The level of temporary facilities required for each Cutter type are designated by Standard Spec 0000, in paragraph 3.2.11.; Table II (page 16) and Table III (page 17) for specific numbers. The crew size will make no impact to the required number of sanitary facilities or portable toilets. There is, however, a stipulation in the standard spec that could make a difference to the number of sanitary facilities based on the crew gender (Reference standard spec 0000, paragraph 3.2.11.5). With regards to crew gender, CGC BENJAMIN DAILEY has a mixed gender crew.
*This will apply to Work Item # 6 (grey water tank, preserve) if *CLIN is activated.
