Questions/Answers (Q&As) Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Upgrade and Expansion Project National Computer Forensics Institute, Hoover, AL
1. What is the purpose of the badge printer since this is not access control and if needing a badge printer what are the specs, what printing materials and the quantities? The badge printer is related to access control because it prints the physical badge needed to gain entry to the facility. The specs are provided below:

1. What are the existing Aiphones to be upgraded and to what models?
Here is the new model:
1. AIPHONE JKS-1AEDV KIT (1 MASTER, 1 DOOR & P/S)
1. AIPHONE JK-1HD – VIDEO MASTER SUB-STATION
1. AIPHONE PS-1820UL POWER SUPPLY
1. AIPHONE MCW-S/A MASTER STATION DESK STAND
1. AIPHONE RY-18L SELECTIVE DOOR RELEASE RELAY
1. What is the definition of “upgrading” the Aiphones – what is the desired outcome – is it a straight hardware replacement or new cabling since now its IP. If it requires new cabling who is responsible. Where are the drawings for the site? This is a hardware replacement with new cabling. The replacement hardware is IP based and will need a CAT5e/6 cable run to each location.
1. Please advise the RAID level required. RAID 5
1. What is meant by no “VRM”? VRM is video recording manager. The scope calls for BVMS, Bosch Video Management System, so video storage and distribution will be handled through this system rather than use of a DVR.
1. Since this is an install and no drawings have yet to be provided can you please extend the time to respond until at least 48 hours after you provide drawings? See Attachment 4.
1. Will the cabling be required to run in conduit? No, cabling will be run in existing cable trays.
