Question Question Government Response

Can you provide some additional information about the VideoNEXT Platform. Is it a hardware product or a cloud VMS product?

VideoNEXT is a cloud-based system.

2 Is this a new requirement. Is there a incumbument or prior contract?

This is a new requirement. There is no prior incumbent or contract that performed this requirement.

3 Are Scaled Drawings available, if so please post. Due to OPSEC Requirements, we cannot provide drawings of the office locations.

4 Are Ceilings Suspended? Or Hard Lid? It is a mix of both, depending on the specific location.

Are there existing Cable Trays for wiring above ceilings?

No cable trays, but new (with pull tape) dedicated ¾” conduit/boxes are/will be available on the 4th & 5th floors . These are solely for use with CCTV cables; the 5th floor has this conduit currently and the 4th floor will have the same after demo/build out has started Sep/Oct timeframe. The other floors have cable runs that are existing and don’t show on as-built drawings.

6 Can Existing Wiring be utilized? Depends on location. There is no existing wiring on Floor 3, 4, and 5.

7 Is a “UPS” required? If so, What Time/Power Duration is required? Typically yes for 2 hours. But would need to confirm with Physical Security Services.

8 Are “Or Equal” Equipment substitutions allowed?

Per the SOW, CCTV equipment with AXIS brand name (or equal) that is compatible with the VideoNEXT system and meets all the restrictions and guidance outlined in the SOW/RFQ are allowed.

9 Is “Plenum Wire” acceptable? Depends on the location.

Is “After Hours Access” for said work, available to contractor at no add’l cost to the Gov’t?

Not at this time, but can be situational if necessary. All contractors would require Federal Personnel to act as Security Escorts while work is performed onsite, which would require additional Federal employee schedule coordination if done outside typical working hours.

11 What is the height of Exterior Cameras? (If any) Cameras are between 8-10ft. Garage height is currently unknown.

12 Please provide a list of equipment to be installed.

Please see Section 2.0 of the SOW (Attachment I - AMD 0001) for a complete list of equipment requirements. Please note, the Section 2 Equipment List requirements have been updated under AMD 0001 of the SOW.

13 Are there any abilities for a brief on-site visit to provide more accurate pricing?

Unfortunately due to the COVID-19 situation, we are unable to offer site visits for this requirement at this time.

14 Please provide/post other “Q&A” requests. All submitted questions and Government responses are captured in this attachment.

15 Are you able to extend the submission deadline.

The Government is extending the submission deadline to Friday July 10th, 2020 at

5:00PM EST.

Please advise the wire type required for this project (cat5 vs cat 6). I noticed that plenum cabling may have to be used in certain areas, but was not sure if there was a requirement relating to wire type.

CAT 6

Please advise if there is any security clearance needed, or if there are limitations on residence status of our technicians (we have some on green cards)

Security Clearance are not needed. DHS will run a criminal background check on onsite technicians, and may deny access based on the check. USCIS Work Permit or Permanent Resident Card (green card) are permitted to work on requirement -however sometimes may need to confirm identity and run checks.

Please advise that there is an onsite recorder in place, and this solicitation is only for the installation of wiring and cameras. I talked to the VideoNEXT manufacturer and they have advised me that they typically install a server along with the software. Please confirm that this equipment is in place and is capable of onboarding all 35 cameras

The VideoNEXT server/recorder and head end equipment will be in place, and will be located in the 4th floor LAN room.

Please advise if there is need for installation of battery backups for any network equipment. I saw that there was a question relating to a UPS, but could not find reference to this in the scope document.

Battery backups / UPS will be in place in the 4th floor LAN room.
