Transportation of Seized Goods (Armed)
AMENDMENT 1 – Questions and Answers
1. QUESTION: Due to vast amount of milage for the Florida sector and congested traffic to and from sites and travel time to the vault, we request the contractor be able to call the pickup points and not be required to travel to an empty pick-up point to ensure those sites with products be the priority of the run. This will ensure we can meet normal working hour requirements of the vault or designated drop off.
ANSWER: Yes, Contractors may use a call function for Miami Sector. The sector is a low volume location for narcotics. The contractor must make these calls early enough in the day to be able to pick up the same day.
2. QUESTION: Will the Contractor be able to route pick-ups? What are the drop off points for each sector?
ANSWER: Yes, to routing. Drop-off points shall be disclosed at award.
3. QUESTION: Can Police Officers in uniform be utilized for specific work details?
ANSWER: Uniform needs to be consistent for all employees. Contractors may hire whoever meets the requirements set forth in the SOW. All hires need to be in the same uniform. Weapons as written in the SOW. Off duty police will defer to USBP in any joint Use of Force.
4. QUESTION: Request extension of the proposal due date.
ANSWER: Not at this time.
