Questions and Answers:

1. Do the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation posted as solicitation number 70B01C19Q20109375 on FBO contains requirements similar to any work performed currently or in the past, or will this be a new requirement?

CBP has required vehicle transponders for the past several years, this is not a new requirement.

2. Can you provide the most recent contract or task order number?

HSBP1017D00014

3. Can you identify the incumbent?

Transcore ITS LLC 3721 Tecport Dr Ste 102 Harrisburg, PA 17111-1200

4. Can you provide a copy of the incumbent contract?

No.

5. Can you indicate the transponder reading duration and expected vehicle speed under 10db of linear polarization?

Vehicle speed would be on the order of 10 mph or less. When deployed, the time during which the tag would be within the main field of the antenna would be on the order of three to five seconds.

6. Can you elaborate on the RFID reader model which will be used during testing?

The reader in use for testing is the Voyantic Tagformance Lite system.

7. Can you elaborate on the RFID reader model which will read the tags in the field?

The reader in use in the field may vary but right now and generally is the Honeywell Intermec

IF2.

8. The SOW specs specify that the transponders have to comply with ISO-18000-63 version 2.

Such specifications require the use of encrypted data based on 256 AES. However, depending on the reader configuration, if encryption is not set by the reader, there will be miss-match which will prevent data read. Please advise if you need with or without encryption.

The specification allows for encryption but does not require it. This application emphatically does not require encryption. The SOW contains all the information necessary to encode the silicon.
