About this file

This document contains questions and responses related to a solicitation to replace an existing security camera surveillance system at the Memphis Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The scope of work involves replacing exterior and interior cameras throughout multiple buildings on site, installing new network video recorders, upgrading switches and cabling, and providing a new monitoring station. Key details include replacing over 70 cameras with IP-based devices, installing new switches in various equipment rooms, removing existing coaxial cable, and maintaining generator backup for new equipment. The work requires coordination between trades for items such as electrical connections, fiber installation, and equipment mounting. Clarification was provided on specifications, equipment locations and pathways, and responsibilities for tasks such as commissioning documentation.

3. Page 12 of the RFP under Subfactor 2a – Project and Construction QC states the following:

“provide a Gantt chart of contract times broken into schedule of values by trade discipline and by General Wage Decision (formerly Davis-Bacon Act).” This appears to be requiring a fully developed prebid project schedule with each schedule line item cost loaded. Is this correct?

Yes

34. Joe Eisenhauer Semper Tek, Inc.

4. If a fully cost loaded schedule is being requested, it should be known that the final proposal amount will not match the cost loaded schedule exactly because vendor pricing will be flooding in up until the very end last minute of the proposal deadline and there will not be adequate time to update the prebid schedule with the latest pricing info before the proposal is submitted.

The Government is aware however, please submit the proposal as realistic as possible.
